Before you press play

The game window above is a real embed of Lagos Life, not a video or a screenshot. It stays windowed so it behaves like any other browser game on the page — you can keep scrolling and reading. When you want the full city, hit Fullscreen.

• First click loads the game. Nothing from Lagos Life is downloaded until you press play, which keeps this page quick.
• Fullscreen is one tap away. The Fullscreen button expands the game window to fill your screen; Escape brings you back. Press F to toggle it from the keyboard.
• Signing in works best in its own window. Lagos Life keeps you signed in with a cookie, and browsers block those inside embeds. If you plan to register and save, use Sign up / Log in.
• You must be 18 or over. The game enforces this at registration.

Your first five minutes

1. Press play and wait for the city map. You will see the Lagos lagoon, the Island, and labels for every location.
2. Read the daily tip. Lagos Life serves a fresh headline and tip each day — weather and power warnings included. It is genuinely useful, not decoration.
3. Sign up if you want to keep anything. The form asks for a name, a username, a password of at least six characters, and an optional email that is only used for password resets.
4. Pick where you live. Homes sit in named neighbourhoods such as Yaba, Mushin and Banana Island.
5. Look up at the top bar. The Governor’s policy, the sea plots and the housing count are all live city state, shared by every player online.

Controls at a glance

Lagos Life is a point-and-click game — you travel by selecting places on the map rather than steering a character. There is no keyboard movement to learn. The controls page covers the full input list including the shortcuts on this site.

If the game will not load

Embeds occasionally stall on slow connections. Use the Reload button in the toolbar, and if it still will not start, the Open in new tab button loads Lagos Life directly from its own domain, which bypasses every embed limitation at once. You can also read why no download is needed while you wait.
