Lagos Life Play now

Short, because there is little to say

Privacy policy

This site is a static guide. We do not run analytics, we do not set tracking cookies, and we do not have accounts. Here is the detail anyway.

The short version

lagoslife.xyz is a static guide with no user accounts. We use Google Analytics 4 to understand which pages are useful, and nothing else. We do not run advertising or retargeting, we do not build profiles, and we do not sell or share personal data with anyone.

What we collect

One thing: anonymous usage statistics via Google Analytics 4. That covers:

  • Which pages you view and how long you stay
  • Approximate location, at city level — never your address
  • Device type, browser and operating system
  • How you arrived, such as a search engine or a link from another site
  • Whether you pressed play on the game window, and whether it loaded

Google Analytics 4 does not store or log IP addresses, and we have not enabled Google Signals or any advertising features. The data is aggregated: we see that 400 people read the locations guide, not that you did.

What we do not collect

  • No accounts, no logins, no passwords
  • No advertising, retargeting or cross-site tracking
  • No contact forms that store your data
  • No newsletter, no email list
  • No selling or sharing of data with third parties

Cookies we set

Google Analytics sets first-party cookies named _ga and _ga_<container-id>, which is how it tells one visit from another. They contain a randomly generated identifier, not your name or anything that identifies you personally. They expire after up to two years.

This site sets no other cookies of its own.

How to opt out

  • Block the script. Any content blocker, or a browser setting that blocks third-party scripts, stops Google Analytics from loading. The site works exactly the same without it.
  • Use Google's opt-out add-on. Google publishes a browser add-on that disables Analytics across every site: tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout.
  • Read Google's policy. How Google handles this data is set out at policies.google.com/privacy.

We do not show a consent banner. If you are in a region that requires one and you would rather not be measured, the blocker route above is the reliable way to opt out.

Server logs

Like every website, the servers that deliver this site record basic technical request data — IP address, timestamp, the page requested and your browser's user agent. This is standard infrastructure logging used for security and to keep the site online, and it is not used to build a profile of you.

The embedded game

This is the part worth reading carefully, because it is the only place on this site where another company is involved.

When you press play, Lagos Life loads from its own servers into a window on this page. From that moment you are interacting with the game directly, and their data practices apply — not ours. Specifically:

  • Cookies. Lagos Life states: "We use a cookie to keep you signed in, and another to count visits. No ad trackers, ever." Those cookies are set by the game, on the game's own domain, for the game's own purposes.
  • Your account. If you register, your name, username, password and optional email go to the game's servers, not to us. We never see them.
  • Payments. If you top up in-game naira, that transaction is between you and the game's payment provider. We are not involved and cannot access it.
  • Third-party cookie blocking. Browsers such as Safari and Firefox block third-party cookies inside embeds. That is a browser privacy feature, not something we control, and it is why we recommend opening the game in its own tab if you want to sign in.

For the game's own privacy terms, see the Lagos Life privacy policy.

Nothing loads from the game until you click

The embed uses a facade: no game code, cookie or request reaches the game's servers until you press play. If you only read the guides, you never contact the game at all.

Links to other sites

Some pages link out to other sites, including the official game and other Lagos games. Once you follow a link, that site's privacy policy applies. We have no control over it.

Children

Lagos Life is an 18+ game and this site is written for adults. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone, including children — there is nothing on this site that collects information at all.

Your rights

Because we do not collect personal data, there is nothing for us to export, correct or delete. If you have a data request concerning Lagos Life itself — your account, your saves, your purchases — you need to contact the game, not us.

Changes

If this policy changes, the date at the bottom of this page changes with it. Last reviewed 2026-10-05.
